Jesus is mentioned as the "Good Shepherd" in the Gospel passage of John 10: 1-21. According to the parallelism of Jesus as the Good Shepherd, Jesus seems to regulate his life according to the needs of his "sheep". The same parallelism is used in Psalm 23. Jesus is mentioned as the Good Shepherd in all four Gospels who does not allow any of His sheep to be lost. The allegorical story, as referenced in the texts of St. John, shows that the people around Jesus Christ perceived his clear position as the Son of God.
