OUR LADY OF VLADIMIR
It is one of the most important and ancient relics of Christianity. Painted in Constantinople in the 12th century (1131), it was sent as a gift to the Duke of Kiev. In 1395, during the Tamerlane invasion, it was transferred to Moscow where it is currently kept in the Tretyakov Gallery. She is considered the patroness of Russia.
